Guddu Thermal Power Station was the first thermal power plant to be awarded to a Pakistani construction company. It was a major milestone for ACL as it got this distinction when the Company was only four years old. The project was located in a remote and difficult area causing immense logistics problems. The work scope included construction of 4,400 cast in place concrete piles, 100,000 m³ of reinforced concrete and approx. 8,000 tons of steel reinforcement. ACL successfully completed the work on schedule.
