ACL was awarded contracts for Blast Furnace Foundations, Raw Material Preparation Plant, Iron Making Plant, and Sea Water Disposal Channels which formed the core works of this large complex. During peak construction periods, company employed over 3,000 workers and technicians. The work has spread over 10 sq. kms. And included construction of over 200 separate structures.

The Blast Furnace Foundation required placing 2,500 m³ of concrete in one continuous operation. In all over 300,000 m³ of concrete and 30,000 tons of steel was used to complete the work.

To date these are the largest single contracts awarded to a Pakistan Contractor.
