The contract for construction of civil works for ACPL Line-2 secured through a competitive bidding process. Construction work commenced in January 2005 and substantial completion, allowing plant commissioning was achieved in May 2006. The works executed comprised of process-line structures from Raw Material Preparation to Clinker Transfer including Raw Mill, Blending Silo, Pre-Heater Tower, Rotary Kiln, Clinker Cooler and Clinker Storage. Other works included Central Control Room Building, Coal feed and Gypsum Underground Service Galleries, Interval Roads and Pavements.
